Q. What is Nordic Realms?

A. Nordic Realms is a free online role playing game. You develop you individual character, and fight guilds to obtain power.

Q. What are the system requirements for the game?
A. Minimum system: CPU: Intel Pentium 4 1.0GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1000+. Graphicscard: ATI radeon 9600 or Nvidia GeForce 5600FX. 56k Modem
Recommended system: CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.0GHz or AMD Athlon XP 2000+. Graphicscard: ATI radeon x800 or Nvidia GeForce 6800. 128k Cable

You will also need the Microsoft .NET framework, Microsoft XNA framework and the latest version of DirectX. All three things are supplied in the client installer. 

Q. How to get the game client?

A. You can download it here.

Q. How to install the game?

A. Run the .exe file that you have downloaded from this website. Then make sure you install all the frameworks provided by the installer (these will pop up automaticly). It is also importaint that you install the DirectX provided by the installer, even though you already have it. 

Q. When will you release updates/patches for the game?
A. We don't know. It highly depends on people's input, suggestions, art help etc. Our goal is to release at least one update each month.

Q. How much does the game cost?
A. The game will always be free. 

FAQ: Development

Q. What programs do you use to create the 3d and 2d art?
A. We use Blender to make 3D models, and Paint Shop Pro to make 2D art

Q. What programming language do you use for this game?
A. The game is written in C#, and runs on the .NET and XNA Framework

Q. How can i contribute to the development?
A. You can suggest ways of improving the game, find bugs in the client and give us feedback on resent updates. If you are a 2D, 3D or sound artist, you can supply us with much needed art. We are very thankful for all the help we get.

Q. Is the game opensource?
A. Currently we have not released the source code, but at some point we will release it.
